Description

An ash catcher sits between your bowl and your water pipe and takes the debris that would otherwise end up in your main chamber – ash, resin and the odd piece of plant matter. This is the tube style: a straight glass body with its own water level, so it also gives you a second stage of filtration rather than just acting as a trap. Pick the joint size and angle that match your pipe, because both have to be right for it to seat properly.

Why it stands out

The practical argument for an ash catcher is cleaning: you rinse a small tube once a week instead of scrubbing the whole pipe. The tube design keeps the added height modest compared with a bulky showerhead unit, so it does not make a tall tube unstable.

Specifications

  • Material: Borosilicate glass
  • Style: Tube ash catcher with its own water chamber
  • Joint sizes: 10mm and 14mm
  • Angles: 45 degree and 90 degree
  • Function: Debris capture plus secondary water filtration

What’s included

One tube ash catcher in the joint size and angle you select. Bowl and keck clip not included.

Compatibility

The angle must match your pipe’s joint – a 90 degree ash catcher on an angled joint will hang sideways and can spill. Add only enough water to cover the intake; overfilling pushes water back into the main chamber.

Care

Empty and rinse after each session so resin does not set. Isopropyl alcohol and coarse salt clears anything stubborn.

Good to know

An ash catcher adds drag and a little weight at the joint. If your pipe already pulls hard, a 10mm unit is the gentler choice.
