Description

A ceramic mushroom that hides a match striker under its cap and stores the matches inside the stem. Lift the cap, strike on its underside, and everything goes back out of sight — which is more than a matchbox on the counter manages.

Why it stands out

It solves a real annoyance (loose matches, a striker strip that wears out) inside an object you would keep on a shelf anyway. It ships with a striker on the cap underside for strike-anywhere matches plus adhesive striker stickers for safety matches, including a spare in the box.
