The insert is the surface your concentrate actually touches, so material choice changes the session: quartz gives the cleanest, most uniform heating surface at a sensible price, while lab-grown single-crystal sapphire holds heat longer and is easier to clean. Both are 20mm — roughly 300% larger than the original Switch.

Care

Swab out while warm. Quartz clouds over time with heat cycling — that is normal wear. Handle with the tweezers rather than fingers; these run hot.
